It's an unprecedented initiative in Algerian insurance industry and a valuable one that focuses particularly on the socio-environment via mass media in an effort to initiate, promote and simplify all the insurance sector's aspects for the general public. Mr Farid GAID, Director of Marketing and Communication welcomed the audience in a very cordial atmosphere while Mr Khelifati addressed the audience explaining the reasons for the "how and why" of such an initiative to provide an educational training for journalists, a project deeply important to him for several years. While the insurance sector remains relatively unknown among ordinary Algerians, this has consequences on the quality of their lives and, therefore, for insurers, such as Alliance Assurances. As a result, the concept of a media club was developed until it became a reality by organizing the first training day in Algiers The" Alliance Club Medias" is the perfect occasion for journalists who will have a highly experienced insurance team that will do their very best in their efforts to accomplish one of the most noble missions, transmitting knowledge. As for the chapter on formation courses, the first session was devoted to three main themes, which were discussed in detail:
-Subscription: provided by Abdelkader Leghlam, Central Underwriting Director
-Automobile Insurance: lectured by Mr. Abdelhamid Mahi, Central Director of Product Research and Development and Reinsurance
-Indemnities: presented by Mr. Youcef Merahi, Central Director of Indemnities
Each of these three insurance experts successively explained in detail, the vocabulary of insurers, the main functions of insurance, the main contributors in the insurance sector, the evolution of the Algerian insurance market, the market segments and finally the proposed insurance solutions. The topic that has certainly received the journalists most interest is certainly the well-known automobile insurance issue.
The third and final communication highlighted the method of indemnification, according to the insurer's and the insured's obligations. Once the oral presentations were concluded, the Q & A session focused on the themes that Alliance Assurances executives presented and explained. The speakers were able to answer the journalists' questions with a detailed explanation for each case according to the regulations applied in the insurance sector by the Ministry of Finance.
Obviously, the upcoming training sessions for the benefit of the Algerian press family will only be beneficial to everyone with a view to modernizing the insurance activity in our country and for the well-being of all citizens. We would like to sincerely and warmly present our best wishes to "Alliance Club Medias".
